The Culinary Culture House is easy to find — it's located at Hisariçi Mahallesi, Kale Caddesi No. 27, inside the historic Alanya Castle walls. If you write 'Alanya Mutfak Kültür Evi' to your GPS, it will pop right up. You can get there on foot: head up through the castle gate from the centre of Alanya and follow Kale Caddesi, but keep in mind that its a walk up the hill. You can come by car directly up to the front door, there are places to park along the road. The Alanya cable car (teleferik) also gets you on top of the hill, from where its a comfortable walking distance to the house.
It's genuinely both — and that's what makes it special. Visitors can explore a small exhibition on Alanya's food culture and the kitchen tools used through the ages, while also getting the chance to taste authentic local dishes at very affordable prices. Think of it as a living food museum: you learn about traditional Alanya cuisine upstairs, and you can actually eat it downstairs.
There is no entrance fee — the Culinary Culture House is run by Alanya Municipality and is open to all visitors. However, groups are advised to contact the venue ahead of time to arrange a visit. It's also worth noting that cash payments are not accepted, so bring a card. For individuals and families, just turn up — it's one of the most relaxed and welcoming cultural stops in Alanya.
